One Round NBA Mock Draft – Adam Version 1.0

I have now gathered enough information to put out my first mock draft for the NBA. I am going to keep it to one round for now as the order is still changing so no point in going past the first round. Because this is my first attempt and there is still so much time until the draft, I will not include explanations. With free agency still left to happen, there is simply too much uncertainty about team needs to consider them in a mock draft. Consider this more a rough list of first round prospects with some rough need fits as they stand now. Once it becomes more clear as to where certain players will go in free agency, I will start adding explanations to the picks based off of team needs and what they can provide to their respective potential teams. Let me know what you think.

  1. As many Mock’s as I look at, the best ones are the ones that go out on a limb and go for what they think the team needs are. Anyone can put down best players. It’s better they have best players ‘now’ as in updated recently. That gives a Mock more clout than one who does it just periodically. Free Agency starts AFTER the draft, so you should go out on a limb now. The very best analysis will take into consideration what a team can do, like trade up with stored picks, or have extra money lying around. There is a lot to having a new member enter a roster. And they don’t have to be on the team roster. They can be on a D-League roster and a team has so many they can sign there. They also can store players overseas. A lot to consider.
